Alex Marsh, classical piano teacher

Alex Marsh received his Bachelors of Arts degree (piano major) from Stetson University.

 

His teaching methods are based on nearly 50 years of study with influential teachers such as:

 

  • Lenoir Almand (Juilliard School of Music)

  • Roy McAllister, studied with Isabelle Vengerova (Curtis Institute of Music) 

  • Dr. George Fee, studied with Menahem Pressler (Indiana University)

 

Alex has a depth of knowledge in the Taubman Approach, the Whiteside Piano Technique and the Matthay System.

 

His teaching emphasizes the classics, romantics and 20th century composers.

 

As a performance artist, Alex is known for his deeply felt interpretive and structural skills.
